Who is responsible for your information?
Sue Berry, trading as Expat Legacy Secrets and The Legacy Footprint Lady, is the data controller for information collected through Expat Life Planning. You can contact Sue through the Contact page.
What we collect
We may collect your email address, your Readiness Assessment scores and answers expressed as category results, your optional marketing choice, free downloads you request, and information you choose to send through the contact form. The website also counts limited activity such as page views, assessment starts, downloads and affiliate-link clicks without storing those events against a named visitor. We do not ask for passwords, PINs, banking logins or card security details.
Why we use it
- To prepare and send the readiness report or free download you request.
- To respond to questions submitted through the contact form.
- To send Expat Legacy Secrets updates only when you separately choose to receive them.
- To understand which guidance is useful, measure affiliate-link activity and keep the service working securely.
Our legal basis
We rely on your request and consent to prepare your report, your consent for optional marketing, and legitimate interests where necessary to operate and protect the service. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time.
Analytics and cookies
The website's own limited activity counts do not identify you by name. Google Analytics is optional and loads only after you choose “Accept analytics”. If you choose “Essential only”, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can reopen “Privacy choices” at any time to change your selection.
Service providers
Information may be processed by providers that help run the website, store files, measure website performance and deliver email, including Cloudflare, Resend and, when you consent, Google Analytics. They should receive only the information needed to provide their service.
Retention and your rights
Report requests and contact messages will be kept only as long as needed for their stated purpose and the final published retention schedule. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
